As an HR Business Partner, you'll be the dedicated contact for business units within the company, advising on performance management and career planning, making sure people feel heard, and taking action with what you've learned.

You'll also help people leaders get more comfortable and confident in their roles, and work closely with leadership to provide a regular "health report" of the culture.

How You Can Make An Impact

  • Partnering with our People & Culture team on the execution and management of a variety of programs of Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, Compensation, Benefits, and HR Analytics
  • Employee and Labour Relations experience; Leading investigations and providing recommendations to issues as they arise.
  • Maintaining an awareness of emerging trends and best practices in HR and liaising with HR peers to ensure policies and procedures stay current and market competitive
  • Coaching leaders to develop succession plans, upskill, and performance manage their teams.
  • As a trusted coach/advisor, proactively identify issues and solutions.
  • Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, Compensation, Benefits, and HR Analytics.
What We Are Looking For

  • 4 plus years of progressive experience working as an HR Generalist or Junior HR Business Partner
  • University Degree or Technical Diploma, Business or Commerce focus considered a strong asset
  • Working towards Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or equivalent considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of other areas of Expertise in Human Resources such as Recruitment, Total Rewards and Benefits along with Learning and Development
  • Proven business acumen, ability to understand business drivers
  • Experience with front facing roles, such as Call Center, Retail and/or Operations experience an asset
  • Experience in Employee and Labour Relations. Experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience leading employee Investigations and performance management practices
  • Strong Customer Service mindset
  • Strong knowledge of current professional processes, trends, and compliance practices in Canada including Canadian Labour Code
  • An understanding of and comfort leveraging data to create a narrative and inform the business of recommendations and opportunities
  • Communication skills that adapt: Ability to lead with influence across various levels of leadership, with poise and professionalism.

  • Meet people you'll be working with in People and Culture, along with stakeholders in your client groups.
  • Understand the needs of your client groups specifically on performance management and employee relations matters.
  • Work to develop strong, trusting relationships and seek to understand where there are opportunities and challenges.
  • Assist with driving engagement initiatives and culture programs, promoting a learningfocused culture where people are encouraged to continue growing, try new things, and learn from their mistakes
