SKID STEER / FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Rypac Metal Recycling is currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Skid Steer / Forklift Operator at our Surrey location.
Rypac is family owned and operated and has been serving the metal recycling needs of local customers for over 40 years.

Qualifications:

Skid Steer / Forklift Experience
- Applicants should be proficient at operating various types of equipment including Forklifts and Skid Steers. Experience using forklifts and skid steers to load shipping containers is preferred.
Ability for Physical Work
- This is a physically demanding job and applicants must be able to frequently walk on uneven ground, handle and grasp materials, crouch, bend, reach, climb, twist, push, pull and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable Working Outside
- Applicants must be comfortable working outside in all types of weather.

Detail Oriented
- Applicants must be detail oriented and capable of accurately completing receiving and shipping reports.

- Applicants must be able to communicate in both verbal and written English.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, grade and process various types of scrap metal
- Load and unload shipping containers with various types of material
- Complete accurate and detailed shipping and receiving reports in accordance with load instructions
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients and vendors
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure proper processing, weighing and storage of materials
- Assist with inventory management and reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting wage of $ $30.00 per hour depending on experience
