Under the guidance of the Marketing Director, you will assume a vital position in positioning GHGSat as the primary global expert in remote sensing of greenhouse gases (GHG), air quality gases, and trace gas emissions from any source across the globe.

In this dynamic new position, you will oversee and implement public relations and communication strategies aimed at reinforcing GHGSat's prominence in the cleantech sector.

Your contributions will be pivotal in enhancing GHGSat's positioning and visibility, increasing awareness to drive the company's worldwide expansion goals.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate public relations strategies to bolster business development and establish the company's presence in its operational geographic markets. The PR and Communications Specialist is also responsible for executing the action plan, which may encompass organizing conferences, pursuing awards, arranging media interviews, and crafting speeches for delivery at industry events. Generate press releases and press kits, ensuring the wellcoordinated execution of PR efforts to achieve maximum impact across all target audiences and communication channels. Additionally, identify collaborative PR opportunities with clients and partners. Manage PR firms (Canada, US, UK) output and media support. Revise, implement, and execute the crisis management plan to assist management in handling a range of sensitive matters related to communication, including new initiatives, global events, and more. Coordinates events related to partners and governments including COP participation. Create a media relations strategy, establish optimal practices, provide guidance to colleagues, oversee media inquiries, and suggest engaging story angles. Manage media databases and foster enduring relationships with reporters, journalists, and media outlets on a global scale.
  • Offer strategic communication guidance and execution (speech crafting, issue framing, crisis handling, media briefings, employee communications), and provide training and support to internal experts for media interviews and public speaking engagements. Support HR communication endeavours to uplift employer brand.
  • Manage all associations' membership and leverage opportunities for communications and engagement with members. Assist the marketing team in coordinating the communications calendar and oversee the French communication channels, including translation and content adaptation.
Your Background

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public and media relations. Outstanding written and spoken communication abilities in both French and English. Experience with contract management and negotiations
  • Highly proficient use of communicationsrelated software and tools. Highly independent and autonomous individual, who actively pursues valueadding opportunities to collaborate with others. Cross functional experience, working alongside Marketing, Sales and Strategy.
