Purpose of Role:


To perform treasury activities, primarily focused on cash management and banking, letters of credit, metal shipments and intercompany metal sales transactions and insurance following established policies, practices and procedures.

Provide recommendations for improvements of business processes.


Responsibilities:


  • Management of cash flows for various entities, including short term cash flow forecasting and planning by business entity to ensure cash requirements are met on a timely basis. Partner with Finance when required.
  • Assist with daily reconciliations of corporate controlled bank accounts in the Treasury System.
  • Assist with processing various wire and metal transfers (external and intercompany), including updating and maintaining wire transfer templates.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of corporate controlled bank accounts in the Treasury System.
  • Work with banks to resolve day to day issues.
  • Assist in maintaining the Treasury Management System, ensuring it remains current as bank accounts and business units are added or removed.
  • Process and ensure timely payment of invoices, including invoices related to refining and transportation, letters of credit, interest on debt, and insurance.
  • Assist with maintaining worksheets used for tracking metal shipments, inventory monitoring, and processes related to intercompany and third party metal sales.
  • Assist with letter of credit and surety bond requirements to ensure timely renewal and/or issuance. This includes timely and accurate payment of related fees.
  • Assist in annual insurance renewal.
  • Record loss prevention progress updates on the online tracking system.
  • Work with mine sites to track impairments.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the quarterly treasury report.
  • Ensure compliance with Treasury's policies and procedures.
  • Assist with audit requests.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor of commerce, finance or economics degree required
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of related work experience
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Preferably worked within Treasury or Finance
  • IT systems knowledge requirements: proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to meet deadlines during peak periods and to prioritize effectively

  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work with others in team environment
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments
