- **Import/Export Coordinator - Ocean & Air**_

**Fracht Canada **is seeking a full-time Import/Export Coordinator to join our team in Montréal, QC. The Import/Export Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Ocean and Air Departments Team functions. The primary purpose is to coordinate assigned activities that occur within daily ocean and air operations including any document preparation of ocean and air of cargo to/from all countries working with our agents globally. Responsible for correctly processing shipments in a cost-efficient manner within Company standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contact shippers to arrange pickups and obtain all necessary documentation.
- Book shipments and discuss and confirm rates with carriers.
- Ensure regulatory conditions are met, and precise documentation, including transit documents and customs clearances, exists for shipments.
- Ensure documentation is precisely processed, distributed, and discharged to carriers, forwarders, customers and agents in a timely manner.
- Prepare all significant data entry and confirmation of essential milestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, PODs, etc.) as specified by Customer Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare timely management information and reports as specified.
- Negotiate shipping rates and submit to Manager for approval when necessary to be competitive.
- Responsible for quoting and follow up.
- Responsible for reliable communication and customer to meet client needs and expectations.
- Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in air and ocean freight from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo.
- Continuously review of freight costs to establish cost savings within the supply chain
- Responsible for accurate documentation on shipments and documents to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, executing delivery and ensuring proper invoicing, billing and filing. (i.e. DGD, CERS, ACI)
- Use approved external providers as necessary to arrange transportation of goods. Quickly resolve any miscommunication and disputes to ensure safe on-time deliveries.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

**Education and/or Work Experience Required**:

- Successful completion of high school, or equivalent, plus additional job-related coursework or specialized training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Cargo Wise software(s) programs or similar.
- Minimum 2-3 years of operations experience in Ocean & Air Export.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the federal, provincial, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with federal, provincial, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone in both French and English

Coordonnatrice import/export - Ocean & Air est responsable du soutien des fonctions de l'équipe des départements Océan et aérien. L'objectif principal est de coordonner les activités assignées qui se produisent dans le cadre des opérations océaniques et aériennes quotidiennes, y compris toute préparation de documents de fret océanique et aérien à destination / en provenance de tous les pays travaillant avec nos agents à l'échelle mondiale. Responsable du traitement correct des expéditions de manière rentable conformément aux normes de l'entreprise.

**Responsabilités**:

- Contactez les expéditeurs pour organiser les ramassages et obtenir tous les documents nécessaires.
- Réservez les expéditions et discutez et confirmez les tarifs avec les transporteurs.
- S'assurer que les conditions réglementaires sont respectées et qu'il existe une documentation précise, y compris les documents de transit et les dédouanements, pour les expéditions.
- Veiller à ce que la documentation soit traitée, distribuée et déchargée avec précision aux transporteurs, transitaires, clients et agents en temps opportun.
- Préparer toutes les entrées de données importantes et la confirmation des étapes essentielles (départ, arrivée, dédouanement, POD, etc.) comme spécifié par les procédures opérationnelles standard du client.
- Préparer en temps opportun l'information et les rapports de gestion comme spécifié.
