About the Position

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule the flour production for the Winnipeg mill on a daily basis in order to meet requirements of bulk & bag flour customers
  • Determine the amount of flour & type/code to be milled
  • Determine the required amount of flour and milling time needed to maximize quality & consistency, in addition to efficiently and effectively balancing the mill and meet customer orders
  • Determine the appropriate flour bins to mill into or transfer into to best service customers and keep all mill running
  • Coordinate milling requirements with the Mill Dept., Elevator Dept., and QA Dept
  • Issue a Daily Flour Packing schedule to meet the weekly requirements requested
  • Plan the trucking logistics of bulk flour loading in order to meet customer delivery times and to ensure bins become available as needed to keep the mills running
  • Communicate mill feed levels to the Feed Dept. in order to arrange truck loadouts to ensure the mill feed bins are effectively utilized to keep the mills running
  • To communicate on an ongoing basis with the Order Desk, Bulk Flour Transport, Customer and all Internal contacts to efficiently and effectively meet customer requirements
  • To provide oncall after hour emergency service as needed to handle milling issues, trucking concerns and customer requirements
  • To communicate & work cooperatively with internal contacts in all departments to keep all aware of mill run times, transfers and loading
  • To participate in and conform to all ADM policies and processes related to Quality, Health & Safety, Sanitation and related corporate programs

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent command of the following skill sets: computers, communications, problem solving, and leadership skills
  • Capable of working in both an office and industrial environment for extended periods of time

Education or Work Experience

  • A college diploma or a university degree in agriculture, or related field is preferred
  • Work experience in related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Office
  • Knowledge of the grain industry would be considered an asset

Additional Information
