Position Summary:


Reporting to the Manager of the Simulation Centre, the Simulation Program Officer (Officer) serves as the main point of contact for general operational requests to all stakeholders in the Simulation Centre, in support of the Dispensary.


Key responsibilities:


  • Packing and unpacking of supplies related to curriculum delivery within the lab setting, ensuring quality control and accuracy.
  • Completes Learning Space Manager daily operational tasks such as Inventory Control/Broken Equipment entry.
  • Performs daily standard operational and administrative tasks as related to the Centre's requirements organizing dispensary and labs, laundry duties and supplying labs with mandatory PPE.
  • Posts and adheres to finalized lab and simulation schedules as provided by the Coordinator.
  • Manages digital communication signage.
  • Distributes daily simulation attendance sheets to relevant team members.
  • Advises Coordinator on supply levels and needs.
  • Provides support for special events and rental needs.
  • Provides training, direction, and oversight to students regarding their daily tasks.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:


  • Twoyear diploma from a recognized postsecondary institution in Office Administration, Business, Health Sciences or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience providing customer service and administrative or office support, preferably in a healthcare/postsecondary organization.

Skills and Attributes:


  • Excellent coordination, planning, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Solid attention to detail, spatial awareness, organizational and customer service skills.
  • Able to lift up to 20 kg or 44 lbs (i.e., supplies, equipment boxes, trainers, linen, etc.).
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills at a professional level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College's priorities on diversity and equity.

Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.
