Green Infrastructure Partners has an opportunity available for an Estimating Assistant, at our Bowmanville location, ON. Reporting directly to
the General Manager, is responsible for providing overall technical expertise and administrative support to construction projects.


Estimating Assistant

  • Provide administrative support to estimating department and extended office when required
  • Record information & manage tracking logs for the estimating team.
  • Compile and download plans, specifications, addendums, and other bid documents as required.
  • Print & organize estimating documents and plans.
  • Set up tenders in bidding system.
  • Complete tender forms accurately.
  • Order Bonds and Insurance for tenders and awarded projects.
  • Create Ministry of Labour documents for awarded projects.
  • Provide safety documents for field staff.
  • Create Subcontract Agreements
  • Maintain RFQ files by converting, organizing, and saving information according to the company's electronic system.
  • Answer phone calls, filter to appropriate person and/or record & distribute messages.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results while maintaining a positive and professional company image
  • Manage and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills; Web navigation, document scanning
  • Effective and professional communication skillsverbal and written.
  • Detailoriented and ability to multitask.
  • Time management skills, prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
