Field Service Manager at our
Edmonton, AB location


Roles and Responsibilities_:

_**- The development, effectiveness and efficiency of the day to day operations of the Field Service Team working within the vision as directed by Applied Canada management team and with the support of the technical services team.

Operations include hydraulic field services, lubrication system service and installation as well as fire suppression system and certification on customer sites/

  • Promote and actively lead safety program to ensure all processes are within regulations and program is implemented successfully and standards are up held.
  • Ability to work safely, lead by example and contribute to overall company profitability.
  • Create, review and approve service proposals and quotations as required
  • Conduct customer site visits providing supervision of workers, assisting Sales scoping jobs to estimate time and resources required to complete scope of work
  • Make recommendations to the management regarding capital requirements, personnel training requirements, employee development needs and other expenses based on the needs of the operation
  • Review orders for profitability, communicate suggestions for improvement to employees and management
  • Primary contact for customers regarding field service activities.
  • Hire, train and develop employees within your direct report.
  • Communicate company goals and company results to direct reports.
  • Conduct performance reviews on each of your direct reports at least once per calendar year. This is the minimum requirement.
  • Additional duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Experience:


  • 5 or more years of leadership experience within mechanical, fluid power, lubrication and/ or related industries
  • Education in trades
  • Demonstrated decision making and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently to take responsibility for daytoday tasks and drive productivity
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise personnel.
  • Self motivated and ability to work independently.
  • Well organized with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
