Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in St Thomas, ON for a Production Associate - Process Lead. The Production Associate will organize and partake in cannabis production/processing, ensuring efficiency and quality control.


Job Duties

Assisting the Production Supervisor: Supporting the Production Supervisor in overseeing production activities, including coordinating workflow, assigning tasks, and ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

Team Leadership: Providing leadership and guidance to production staff in executing their duties effectively, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Process Management: Managing specific aspects of the production process under the direction of the Production Supervisor, such as overseeing the formulation process, managing packaging operations, or coordinating pre-roll production.

Training and Development: Assisting in the training and development of production staff, ensuring that they are proficient in standard operating procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.

Quality Assurance: Collaborating with the Production Supervisor to maintain quality control measures throughout the production process, conducting inspections, and addressing any quality issues promptly.

Inventory Control: Supporting inventory management activities, including tracking inventory levels, conducting inventory counts, and ensuring accurate documentation of inventory transactions.

Documentation and Reporting: Assisting in the maintenance of production records and reports, ensuring that all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Safety Compliance: Upholding safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety among production staff, working closely with the Production Supervisor to address any safety concerns and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Continuous Improvement: Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost savings, and implementing improvement projects as directed by the Production Supervisor.

Communication and Collaboration: Maintaining open communication with the Production Supervisor and other members of the production team, collaborating effectively to


Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience (24 years) in production or manufacturing environment (cannabis preferred)
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience in Health Canada's regulatory framework.
  • Experience in completing and verifying BPRs (Batch Production Records).
  • Experience in tracking production efficiency and implementing improvement measures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teambuilding skills.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GPP, and SOPs.
  • Ability to operate cannabis production equipment safely and successfully complete required training.
  • Computer skills and experience with inventory control systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to improve processes and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work occasional variable or extended hours to meet production demands.
  • Prior experience in the cannabis industry is an asset.

Pay:
From $18.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
