    Description

    Role: Power BI support Engineer

    Location: Calgary, Canada

    Duration: Contract

    Responsibilities:

    • Capable of troubleshooting common database issues.
    • Ability to collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
    • Develop automated reports and dashboards using Power BI.
    • Gather and understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications.
    • Gathers and prepares data from multiple sources to support information analytics.
    • Using Power BI filters & conditions at dataset, report & dashboard levels.
    • Creating Power BI reports that represent different findings & insights from the data using interactive charts and maps.
    • Creation of advanced visualization like heat maps and custom visualizations.
    • Connect to multiple datasets to bring all of the relevant data together in one place and create reports that provide a consolidated view of the different sources.
    • Uploading of Power BI reports to Power BI online version and implement security & audit.
    • Scheduling/refresh options of Power BI reports in online version.

    Requirements:

    • 2-3 years of experience in Power BI tool with in-depth development experience with recent versions of SQL Server.
    • Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure SQL database.
    • Hands on professional with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration and advanced GUI development in Power BI.
    • Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally with end customers.
    • Nice to Have Skills: SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
