NLCA - Membership Services / Accounting ClerkNewfoundland & Labrador Construction Association (NLCA), is seeking an
Accounting Clerk to join their growing team in St. John's, NL.
The NLCA is a not-for-profit association that serves a membership of over 600 members in the Newfoundland and Labrador construction industry.
What you'll be doing:
- Answering phone calls in a professional manner
- Accounts receivable:
- Creating invoices for new memberships and renewals, event registrations/sponsorships, and other services provided to members
- Recording and posting payments received in the GrowthZone Membership Management Platform
- Generating account statements and followup with customers to keep accounts uptodate
- Event/Centre of Excellence Continuing Education Support:
- Maintenance/Updating event registration listings
- Attending meetings and contribute your ideas to event planning
- Getting involved and providing support for events as directed by the President/COO
- Membership Coordination:
- Attracting new members through approved marketing efforts
- Ensuring membership information is uptodate and accurate
- Being a trusted point of contact for all members
- Providing support to the NLCA team
What you'll bring:
- Diploma in Business Administration with a working knowledge of graphic design or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs
- Working knowledge of Simply Accounting and GrowthZone Membership Management Platform
- Outstanding communication skills in both written and verbal forms
- Great interpersonal skills
- A customerfocused mindset to provide exceptional service
- The ability to manage multiple tasks with ease
- A meticulous attention to detail
- The ability to work as a team player and collaboratively with others
- Proficiency in computer usage and fast typing skills
