Westerner Park is seeking an Agriculture Events Assistant summer student to join our team as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program Here's what you'll be doing:

Groundskeeping
clearing manure and animal excrement out of parking and ag show areas
Responsible for the oversight of stall cleaning, final check on these areas to ensure that they're properly cleaned before the next event comes in, including completing additional cleaning tasks
Clean and sanitize animal stalls to ensure they are safe and ready to use for the next show.
Equipment use driving tractors and other equipment for event set up and take downs
General labour physical handling of event related materials and equipment such as steel, animal stalls, shovels, rakes, jump equipment, and other
Working in close proximity to animals and equipment
Ensuring animal waste bins are emptied and moved to the appropriate locations for shows

Is this you? Here's what we're looking for:

Experience in an agricultural setting, particularly with operating agricultural equipment & working around livestock animals
Landscaping or groundskeeping experience is an asset
Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite
A pleasant, positive, and courteous attitude with clients & staff
Must qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs Program

Rate of Pay:
$18.00 Per Hour
