Job Description Summary:


Are you a seasoned Project Manager looking to align yourself with an innovative purpose-driven organization that supports life science research? As a key member of the Project Management Office within STEMCELL's Business Operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects that align to STEMCELL's corporate growth initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects for their designated portfolio team.

In this role, you will ensure project deliverables are completed on time and on budget, as described in the project plan.

Business Operations projects are cross functional by their nature.

The Project Manager will be responsible for engaging with and managing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from across the organization, so the need for technical and industrial understanding is necessary.

You will communicate and liaise with all levels of staff and management, as well as with consultants, vendors and others as needed to facilitate consensus, consultation, negotiation and sharing of information.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes detailed project charter, plans, and objectives to outline timelines and project deliverables
  • Executes project plan according to project methodologies, ensures successful and coordinated completion of project components, on time and on budget
  • Diagnoses and evaluates potential risks and issues throughout the project. Reports regularly to the PMO with regard to risks, and executes appropriate plans to contain them
  • Work with stakeholders at all levels and inspires others to achieve goals and deliverables through facilitation and effective communication

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSc degree in life sciences or a related field and 7 years' experience managing multidisciplinary projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate degree, PMP or further Project Management certifications would be an asset
  • Strong technical project management experience in the biotechnology / life sciences sector (experience working in regulated environments and familiarity with QMS compliant to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and GMPs an advantage)
  • Related experience in project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups required
  • Experience communicating and influencing within a complex interdisciplinary environment
