Job Summary:

Now, if you were to come on board as a Manager of Food Services, to manage Clinical and Patient Food services we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Initiates, participates, and provides leadership in the development of short and long-term goals and objectives for the department
  • Develops departmental operating and capital budgets, financial and costing reports
  • Utilizes data to manage area of responsibility
  • Manages and fosters client and customer relations
  • Oversees and collaborates with the clinical dietitians
  • Hires, promotes, transfers or disciplines under the guidance of the HR Department
  • Preceptor to dietetic students
  • Manages, coaches and mentors the team, both unionized and nonunionized
  • Ensures strict compliance with Compass' and hospital's Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health & Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.

Here's how we'll know you will be successful:

  • Minimum of three
- five years of leadership experience in acute care patient food services in a unionized environment.

  • Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) or a Registered Dietitian
  • Proficiency in dietary software and MS Office
  • Proven excellence in financial management
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically / conceptually and evidence of achieving collaborative results.
  • Current with the latest innovative trends in patient food services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate
  • Excellent organizational, communication and people skills
