The Opportunity:


The program hires mothers as Home Visitors who were clients in HIPPY program before, this opportunity offers an on-the-job workplace training, goal setting and job-search support to transition to other jobs and/or higher education.

Home Visitors also gain valuable Canadian work experience, which is vital to take the next step in their career.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supporting program coordinator in Processing client referrals;
  • Updating and maintaining client wait lists;
  • Ensuring files are up to date including record keeping of HIPPY program such as registrations, clients bus tickets tracking, among other record keeping;
  • Administrative tasks including staff Timesheets, expense claims, monitoring, purchasing supplies, data entry, update documents, among other administrative tasks assisted by the manager.
  • Performs clerical functions such as photocopying, scanning and faxing
  • Program supplies inventories and performing all administrative duties.
  • Promotes public awareness and support for HIPPY program.
  • Maintains indepth knowledge of HIPPY and all other DIVERSEcity programs to provide general information to the HIPPY clients and the public as necessary;
  • Supports the planning and execution of program events, and training sessions by scheduling meetings, creating presentation materials, tracking attendance, and supporting team members to create content.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Postsecondary training in Office Administration, Minimum 2years' experience in an office environment, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
  • Experience with HIPPY program and curriculum is an asset.
  • Exceptional written and oral English language communication skills;
  • Computer and internet skills, including entire Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Teams), iCare and other databases
  • Minimum 50 WPM, typing speed;
  • Second language (Spanish, Arabic, Kurdish, Urdu, Farsi, or Tigrinya) an asset;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic group environment
