Student Supervisor-Northridge

10 Month (temporary) 5hrs

The Greater Victoria School District provides public educational services to over 20,000 students in the Greater Victoria Area, encompassing six municipalities.

To provide this service, the District has a current operating budget of $210 million and employs approximately 3,500 staff which includes teachers, principals and vice-principals, support staff, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and exempt managerial staff.

The Student Supervisor ensures the safety and wellbeing of students, typically during non-class time, while arriving, leaving or on school property, such as during recess and lunch periods.

Supervisors work in all weather during the school year.

Qualifications:

Grade 10 or equivalent

Current First Aid and CPR

Basic knowledge of conflict resolution methods

Basic knowledge of inclusion and integration principles

Willingness to enroll in conflict resolution and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training

This position is for five (5) hours per week, equating to one (1) hour per day Monday-Friday 11:45am-12:45am from April 17th to June 29th, 2023, at a pay rate of $22.76 per hour plus 13% in lieu of benefits.
