The Foreman will contribute to UnitiWall's growth trajectory by maintaining excellence in manufacturing standards. The role oversees the manufacturing team, ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of prefabricated wall systems.

The Foreman plays a pivotal role in managing day-to-day manufacturing operations, encompassing workforce training and oversight, as well as direct involvement in design review and assembly processes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary, paid biweekly.
- $27-33/hour, based on experience

7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday


What you'll be doing:


Workforce Development and Management:


  • Conduct interviews to select labourers and apprentices who will strengthen the manufacturing team.
  • Implement a robust training program, ensuring all team members are proficient and uptodate with their skills.

Design Process Optimization:


  • Perform detailed panel by panel design reviews, contributing to a streamlined assembly strategy that aligns with fabrication drawings and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Identify and resolve designrelated fabrication issues, enhancing the efficiency of panel production.

Quality Assurance Contribution:


  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in quality monitoring, promptly identifying and addressing any nonconformities or issues in alignment with UnitiWall's QA/QC manual.
  • Contribute to the overall quality excellence of UnitiWall products through rigorous quality monitoring and management.

Safety Leadership:


  • Ensure all manufacturing activities adhere to strict safety standards, providing training to new staff and enforcing daily startup checklists.
  • Take immediate action to stop any unsafe work practices and instigate necessary remedial actions to foster a culture of safety.

Maintenance Supervision:


  • Oversee the maintenance equipment maintenance program, ensuring equipment and work areas are maintained and function properly to prevent downtime and accidents.
  • Regularly perform equipment maintenance activities, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Inventory and Resource Management:


  • Monitor inventory levels and the quality of incoming materials, ensuring the availability and use of suitable components for production needs.

Manufacturing Excellence:


  • Engage in continuous, close monitoring of core manufacturing activities, ensuring that production is aligned with high standards of quality, budget, and schedule.
  • Demonstrate versatility by performing, managing, and training staff in all manufacturing activities as required.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:


  • Manufacturing Leadership: Proven experience in a manufacturing foreman role with a strong record of managing and developing production teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, with handson expertise in assembly, machine operation, and manufacturing processes.

Quality Focused:
Knowledgeable in safety regulations and quality control measures within a manufacturing setting.

  • Education and Training: Technical diploma or equivalent in a related field, with additional certifications in safety, quality assurance, or leadership seen as advantageous.
