LOCATION


Located approximately 100 kilometres east of Toronto, NHH is a vibrant community hospital delivering a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services.

ROLE OVERVIEW


Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and accountable to the Chief of Diagnostic Imaging (Radiation Protection Officer), the Medical Radiation Technologist will be responsible for performing radiographic examinations that may include, routine general radiographic procedures, interventional procedures, mobile X-ray procedures, CT, mammography and BMD (a maximum of three (3) modalities).

The Technologist will be expected to make independent decisions while performing these duties.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Current membership in the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario. (CMRITO)
  • Previous recent related EPIC experience a definite asset
  • Previous recent related GE Centricity PACS experience a definite asset
  • CT experience a definite asset
  • Must be available to work day, evening and night shifts
  • Must be available to work weekends and statutory holidays

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Responding professionally and appropriately in high stress and emergency situations

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS


Successful applicants are required provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, that was complete less than one year from the date of hire.

This requirement must be met within the first sixty (60) days of employment.


Additionally, to the above, successful applicants are also required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process which includes providing an up-to-date immunization record to ensure compliance with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment.

Northumberland Hills Hospital operates a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff.
