Position Description:

Standard Aero is one of the largest independent aviation service providers in the world providing maintenance, repair and overhaul ("MRO") services to commercial, business and military aviation markets.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Perform professional accounting work in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and reporting requirements.
Maintain general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
Preparation of monthly journal entries.
Reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
Participate in interim and yearend audit activities providing support and guidance as required.
Assist in the preparation of various internal and external reporting requirements including quarterly working papers and financial statement disclosure.
Interact with and advise various functional groups and remote locations.
Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department.

Position Requirements:

Holds (or is actively pursuing) a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Individuals with an equivalent mix of experience and education will also be considered.
Strong attention to detail with interest in process improvement.
Ability to work independently multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in order to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices.
Proficiency in MS Office with a strong understanding of Excel.
Working knowledge of Oracle an asset.
