Description

The Assistant Body Shop Manager assist and co-manage day-to-day operations of the branch by delivering first-class service and achieving financial objectives through employee engagement and high operational standards.

The Assistant Body Shop Manager will assist the Shop Manager in different aspects, such as sales, profit, customer satisfaction, customer retention and growth as well as assist with employee management.

Job Duties

  • Assist the Manager in Sales, Profit, Customer Satisfaction, and Customer Retention and Growth.
  • Assist the Manager with staffing schedules and payroll recordkeeping.
  • Assist in managing traffic flow to accommodate customers needs.
  • Offer solutions to accommodate customer requests or needs.
  • Greeting and welcoming clients using the Fix Auto expectations.
  • Capturing client and vehicle information and printing service request.
  • Crosssell services offered by Fix Auto to clients.
  • Supervise parts procurement and supplement process.
  • Monitor sublets and production scheduling.
  • Monitor several key indicators, including daily production statistics and regional benchmarks in order to achieve productivity projections and meet our customer's expectations.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and accurately.
  • Respond to safety concerns immediately where applicable.
  • Other related tasks as required.

Requirements:


  • High school or college automotive body repair diploma.
  • At least 2 years experience in shop management or senior industry experience
  • A complete understanding of the day to day collision repair duties including estimating, production scheduling and meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines
  • Solid MCE (Mitchell Cloud Estimating), Mitchell and Audatex skills
  • I-Car Training considered an Asset
  • Possess a valid drivers' license.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
Working Conditions

  • Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Travel to offsite locations may be required.
  • Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steeltoed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Hazards associated with the trade.
  • Exposure to loud noises.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors.

Job Types:

Salary:
$52,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
