This position will perform a combined duty of Network design, implementation, troubleshooting as well as security design, configuration, testing and preventive measurement on infrastructure.

This position will also conduct monitoring, alerting and reporting of network and security related issues on datacenter as well as clients' infrastructure.

This position is responsible for the support of the production environment which ensures the appropriate security policies and practices are implemented and enforced.

In addition, this position will be a technical resource for the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales of our security products and services.

This position will be the main technical resource throughout the sales process and through answering and educating the clients on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration and installation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement and maintain all security platforms and their associated software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/intrusion prevention, antivirus and Anti-SPAM.
  • Plan a migration to Fortinet VA and implement
  • Network Monitoring, Alerting and Reporting.

Design and configure alerts trigger on ConnectWise automate RMM tool for various network devices, servers and connectivity.

  • Ensure network security best practices are implemented through auditing: router, switch, firewall configurations, change control, and monitoring.
  • Document the environment in details with IP schemas and all
  • Manage the network requirements to meet the business demands of our customers
  • Operational support for LAN/WAN related network incidents (investigation of element and link failures, network routing, performance, security).
  • Provide periodic vulnerability testing, and lead remediation projects
  • Lead and participate in requirements gathering and analysis.
- ‪‪Provide network infrastructure capacity and performance reporting and planning.
- ‪‪Maintain standards for a datacenter infrastructure and operational effectiveness and ensure availability of networks in Production, Development, Lab and Disaster Recovery environments across multiple datacenters.
- ‪‪Responsible for leading third line support for incident and request management.
- ‪‪ Daily triage, and update/resolution of tickets generated by CRM ticketing system and respond to inbound phone and electronic requests for technical assistance.

  • Track appropriate information and complete ticket, outage and post mortem records as necessary.
- ‪‪Completes periodic routine maintenance and daily tasks, tracking results and resolving problems as appropriate.

  • Monitors network indicators and initiates further testing and corrective action as necessary.
  • Formulate systems and methodologies as well as respond to security related events and assist in remediation efforts
  • Coordinate, and monitor log analysis for our managed services offerings, to ensure customer policy and security requirements are met.

  • Manage all client situations in a professional and courteous business manner with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, while timely keeping the customer abreast of expectations, problem status and completion.

Core Competencies

  • Knowledge of security network devices (
    firewalls, switches, Antivirus, etc.) and other security networking hardware/software tools.
  • Demonstrable knowledge, skill and expertise in the following technologies:

  • Palo Alto expertise is a must

Preferred Knowledge on Connectwise Manage, Connectwise automate or any RMM tool.

  • Experience in LAN and WAN technologies, network design, network management etc.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, access control lists, firewalls, VPN, NAT and network traffic analysis.

  • Strong organizational skill and be able to attend to and prioritize projects.
  • Demonstrable analytical and technical aptitude with focus on identify and alleviating the root cause of the issue; solves the whole problem.
  • Excellent understanding of Windows and Linux server system administration
  • Intermediate knowledge of and experience with servers (physical and virtual design) as well as different operating systems (Windows and Linux)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in technical architecture design (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, protocol flows) and handson experience with middleware server components (e.g., HP)
  • Proven ability to thrive and respond to frequent demands of multiple constituents, both internal and external, in a customer centric manner and high demand environment.

Qualifications

  • Preferred professional certification include;
    Fortinet NSE4, NSE5, CCNA, CCNP, Security +,
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.
