This includes development of project scope, soliciting quotes, developing required procurement documentation, bid evaluation and selection, contractor oversight, quality assurance/quality control, budget management and project closeout which includes updating facility records, drawings, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
Responsible to administer, manage and execute on the terms of their assigned standing contracts within their assigned portfolio. This includes developing and completing a quality assurance/quality control program and records management.
The FOS will also participate in the development of assigned contracts including but not limited to scope & specification development, bid evaluation, contractor orientation and arranging for access.
-Qualifications
***A Journeyman Certificate in a facility or construction related field or equivalent recognized by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training plus at least 10 years of experience in the design, operation and/or maintenance of facilities within their respective trade including project management. OR
- A 2year Engineering Technology diploma in a facility or construction related field plus at least 7 years of experience in the design, operation and/or maintenance of facilities including project management.
- Experience developing project scope related to technical building systems including but not limited to mechanical, electrical and base building infrastructure.
- Ability to obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook is an asset.
- Experience writing and presenting business case reports is an asset.
- Success in this position requires the ability to build relationships and work with various technical consulting services.
Pre-employment RequirementsAn enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
