  • Under the direction of the Director of Student Success Services, the Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for managing and administering the FNUniv portfolio of scholarship and emergency bursary funds. The Scholarship Coordinator continuously evaluates the FNUniv scholarship program identifying opportunities for growth and excellence, while improving the donor and recipient experience. This position is within the scope of the APT bargaining unit.
  • Key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Administer a variety of internal and external scholarships coordinated by the University.
  • Coordinate Scholarship Committee meetings alongside the Director of Student Success Services.
  • Prepare and distribute information packages to Scholarship Committee members.
  • Coordinate with the Scholarship Committee alongside the Director of Student Success Services to discuss progress and issues related to the administration of undergraduate/graduate awards and emergency bursaries.
  • Maintain detailed records of scholarship and bursary information, distribution, and recipients in accordance with the FNUniv and University of Regina Records and Information Management Policies.
  • Coordinates administration of FNUniv undergraduate scholarships, awards, and bursary to ensure spending aligns with available budgets according to fiscal policies and with FNUniv strategic goals of recruitment and retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications with students once the scholarships are established.
  • Implement new scholarship funds once established.
  • Work with scholarship donors to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of annual and biannual scholarship grant distributions.
  • Meet with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all scholarship information is disseminated and collected appropriately.
  • Audit award payments and registration status for changes in student eligibility for funding.
  • Coordinates scholarship recognition events (for winners and awardees).
  • Coordinate the administration of Emergency Bursary funding program alongside the Director of Student Success Services and Student Success Services staff.

Education/Experience Requirements:


  • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree; minimum of three (3) years related experience, preferably in a university environment. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
