The Technology department has an exciting opportunity for a Print Services Clerk to join the team This position is responsible for performing various Print Shop related duties, including the following bindery functions: collating, folding, perforating, laminating, binding, padding, punching, cutting, wrapping and shipping of printed materials.

The Print Services Clerk will also provide other services incidental to the operation of the Print and Mail Services area including the operation of a variety of high speed electronic equipment, postage and mail inserter.

This position will be required to assist in the Mail Services area performing internal mail processing functions and/or external pick-ups and deliveries as well as providing coverage for reception.

Key Duties
Provide print services for regular, reoccurring, and special print jobs.
Operates print shop equipment including printer, photocopier, collator, laminator, binder, cutter, puncher, perforator, power stapler and other related equipment.
Sets up print jobs, loads/unloads paper, and undertakes quality control for print services and operations.
Maintains and troubleshoots equipment, collaborates with employees for solutions, makes service technician calls as required.
Mounts presentations and drawings on foam core and wraps and ships printed materials.
Operates mail inserter, scale and postage machines, and complies with Canada Post regulations.
Maintains and secures stock room, undertakes inventory, stocks shelves, and purges/destroys old stock as required.
Documents monthly job counts and mail pieces.
Receives deliveries from the loading dock/back door, such as paper, envelopes, and inserts.
Performs routine and daily upkeep of print shop.
Delivers internal mail.

Education, Certification, and Experience
Completion of secondary school or equivalency
Driver's Licence Class 5
Up to nine months of previous and on-the-job print services experience

Knowledge
Knowledge of print services and customer/client services
Knowledge of methods, procedures, and operation of print services equipment (copies, cutters, laminators, binders, etc.,)
Knowledge of branch as well as the broader divisions/departments/branches
Knowledge of relevant collective agreements, bylaws, policies and procedures, and legislation, including health and safety standards
Knowledge of job-related office productivity software, internet browsers and search engines, enterprise software, discipline-specific software, and technology devices

Physical Effort
Uses keyboards, mouse, computers/tablet, and other technology devices.
Uses printers, photocopies, laminators, cutters, punching, binding, and other specialized machines and equipment.
Sits, stands, and exerts force.
Drives vehicle for daily deliveries when providing back up mail delivery services.
Moves, stocks, loads, and carries objects/equipment/supplies/files.

Concentration and Sensory Effort
Visual and concentration effort during print jobs, laminating, and other related processes
Visual and concentration effort when driving for pick-ups and deliveries.
Auditory effort during customer services interactions
Auditory effort including diagnosis of equipment function/malfunction.
Responds to interruptions to workflow that impact concentration demands.

Working Environment
Personal protective equipment is required - hearing protection.
