Well, look no further, as Walk of Grace is taking on new Day Program Coordinator This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, evening and weekends off, starting at $27.00/hour (including Ontario pandemic pay), full medical benefits, and pension after probationary period is completed. EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Day Program Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Schedule recreational activities throughout the week
  • Developing an appropriate day program curriculum but not limited to; social activities, baking, cooking, community outings, adaptive daily living skills, recreational activities,
  • Establishing and enforcing a curriculum for the day program, but not limited to developing visuals and schedules for staff and participants to follow intended to have an active, fulfilling, and educational plan for the day program to follow on a day to day basis; Monday to Friday.
  • Provide a visual activity schedule to the participants
  • Provide a visual activity schedule for the staff to follow
  • Oversee daily documentation such as daily log books, incident reports, etc.
  • Developing strategies and ideas of adaptive daily living skills for the participants to learn and engage in.
  • Developing examples of arts & crafts the participants can engage in, including having the appropriate materials for the activities presented for the participants.
  • Monitoring & overseeing the participants and staffing team
  • Coordinate the activities of the program and set priorities for staff intended to manage the program with the participants/
  • Ensure participants are engaging out into the community
  • Evaluating the program
  • Establishing a professional & healthy rapport with parents, workers, etc
  • Attend in person and or virtual meetings pertaining to the day program.
  • Generating Individual Support Plans & Completing the Individual Support Plan meeting via virtually or in person for each participant in the program.
  • Ensure quality supports that are culturally relevant, age appropriate and maximize independence and choice for each participant.
  • Assess the daily needs of persons supported
  • Staying organized and overseeing the day program Monday to Friday.
  • Provide direct supervision and onthejob training to assigned employees and volunteers including following the curriculum of the day program.
  • Maintains a safe environment and monitors participants safety while at Day Program.
  • Respects confidentiality and the dignity of Participants.
  • Undertakes tasks, special projects and other duties as assigned.

Salary:
$25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
