Overview
We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our dynamic team.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Tax Manager will be responsible for strategic tax planning, tax compliance, coordinating timely preparation and filing of tax returns, preparation of consolidated deferred tax calculations and quarterly tax estimates, annual transfer pricing documentation, maintaining tax information, and the preparation of information for financial reporting related to taxes.

We are seeking for a tax professional who is detailed oriented and eager to grow in an energetic environment.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with external consultants and internal tax team with tax planning and identifying tax strategies to improve profits by maximizing tax credits and tax deductions
  • Annual transfer pricing reports and strategies by working with our external consultants
  • Maintenance of tax files
  • Preparation of Canadian tax returns
  • Respond to tax authorities' enquiries, audits, and reassessments
  • Preparation of current and deferred tax provisions and other tax related information for financial reporting in collaboration with internal tax team
  • Manage audit of tax related information with external auditors
  • Reconcile consolidated balance sheet tax accounts
  • Participate in educational opportunities to stay up to date on tax changes and industry trends
  • Work jointly with Mexican tax department to obtain a better understanding tax laws in Mexico
  • Assist CFO with otherrelated projects as needed

Qualifications

  • CPA certification or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years' experience on Canadian corporate taxation
  • In depth understanding of deferred tax calculations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency to develop and implement tax planning strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively across different departments
  • Selfmotivated and detail oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • Speaking Spanish is an asset
  • Experience working with Mexican tax authorities is preferred but not mandatory

Salary:
$120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
