Role Overview


The Coordinator, Peer to Peer (P2P) and Third Party (3P) Events reports to the Manager, P2P and 3P Events and works in tandem to support the P2P and 3P Events Officer with all sponsorship deliverables and logistics.


This role is responsible for the coordination, execution, and delivery of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Events and the stewardship of third-party (3P) events and supporting revenue and attendance goals.

The Coordinator also acts as a frontline contact for Diabetes Canada with all vendors, sponsors, volunteers and event participants.

The Coordinator provides administrative support to the portfolio and works with other Coordinators across DC to ensure business practices are followed in the management and organization of fundraising events.


Location:

University Ave. Toronto, Ontario.

A flexible work agreement policy in place allowing employees to work on a hybrid schedule, working remotely, and with the expectation of attending in person events when needed.


This role includes, but not limited to:
Revenue Generation Support

  • Support the team in meeting or exceeding annual fundraising goals by coordinating and executing P2P events in alignment with regional and national plans.
  • Support the team in driving attendance at events through event promotions, networking, cold calling, etc.
  • Work with team members to help identify and maximize event revenue generation opportunities e.g., participants, teams, silent auctions, raffles, etc.
Event Support

  • Work with team members to support the development and execution of P2P and 3P Events.
  • Frontline contact for all vendors and event partners
  • Provide support for the marketing strategy and implementation for P2P Events
  • Identify possible sponsors for Signature and Special Events as well as move management opportunities.
  • Responsible for event administration, database management and financial reconciliation in partnership with other Coordinators on the Events team
  • Frontline contact for all 3P Events
  • Complete impact reports and event summaries for all events
  • Postsecondary education in a relevant program or equivalent experience
  • 1 2 years' work experience in fundraising, sales, event coordination, marketing and/or notforprofit
  • Demonstrated experience working on special events and working with volunteers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with digital technology
  • Achievementoriented; a goalsetter
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and responsive
  • Collaborative relationshipbuilder
  • Computer proficiency including experience with social media
