We at Scotiabank are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Test Environment Management Coordinator.

As a Test Environment Management Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our testing environments, enabling our software development and quality assurance teams to deliver high-quality products.

  • We ensure Information Technology releases are authorized within the boundaries of established Release Management controls and policies to manage overall risk of releases promoted to production environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • The Operations and Lab Support teams are responsible for supporting multiple physical test labs and over six, end to end test environments composed of Mainframe, Citrix, midrange servers and PCs. Our clients are across all lines of businesses within domestic BNS including Agile Labs and RDP offshore.
  • Oversee and provide guidance in multiple, constantly changing test environment(s) in order to maintain maximum online availability
  • Use established standards, methodology and technical judgement to deliver on a range of requirements and requests. Takes ownership and accountability of work streams within large projects and functions.
  • Reviews, recommend and provide guidance in the execution walkthroughs of the technical change release process for host and mid range upgrades.
  • Identify, recommend and review process improvements and modifications to departmental documentation and operating procedures, actively participate in team huddles.
  • Liaison with 3rd party support teams to properly plan and schedule Infrastructure changes.
  • Perform activities such as test environment status monitoring and vulnerability management etc.
  • Timely completion of all assigned administration functions: e.g. Status reports, time reporting, development plans, setting objectives, performance appraisals, etc.

  • You assist in planning and documenting changes of hardware/software infrastructure relating to configuration policies at indicated in IT Standards and Policies.
