Buckland is looking for a Business Analyst, EDI Systems & Projects

What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for

  • Design and scale projects of new EDI trading partners or enhancement of existing partners.
  • Responsible for meeting with specific end users to understand and document their current steps to deliver a required output/product.
  • Build long term enhancement plans, adding features and data elements that drive efficiency in business and systems processes, allowing for long term sustainability and business continuity.
  • Proactively communicate project status, issues and risks to responsible leaders who can escalate and support when required.
  • Author and publish required documentation sets (including but not limited to) business & technical requirements specifications, data, or process flow diagrams, testing steps, issues logs, training material etc.
  • Keeps current in role/industry by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Other duties as assigned
What we need from you

  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Familiarity with core Agile events such as Standups, Iteration Planning, Iteration Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Strong ability to collaborate crossfunctionally with product owners, testers, and other stakeholders.
  • Advocate for and practice continuous integration, continuous delivery, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word).
  • Ability work in a Fulltime environment
  • Be able to work a standard day time shift
  • Comfortable to work in a (Remote/In Office/Hybrid) environment
  • Adopt a continuing education philosophy
What skills & experience you'll bring to us

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Business Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent education
  • A background in EDI related projects
  • ANSIX12, XML and other complex tools HIGHLY desired.
  • Proven track record of the ability to map, debug and understand positioning of data elements and their relationships to (but not limited) customers, carriers, systems, calculations, or general use and purpose.
  • Previous experience with ASN, Production Parts, Warehouse Order, Invoice, Shipment Detail/Manifest or Incoming/Outgoing Master Parts feeds (ANSI X12 110/210/310, 810, 820, 852, 867, 870 as examples)
  • Has acted in the capacity of a Business Analyst/Systems Analyst or 25 years of similar employment experience.
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate in both technical and userfriendly language
  • Excellent organizational and problemsolving skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to be detail oriented when completing software testing, regression analysis and debugging.
  • Ability and desire to travel from Canada to USA or Mexico (if required) up to 10% of the time
