    Valard Construction LP is a premier powerline contractor, serving clients in both public & private sectors. We offer construction services in overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems, substations, fibre optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations.

    Valard Construction LP is seeking qualified Project Administrator/Customer Relations Specialist to join our Ontario Operations team. We are looking for self-motivated, team player, dedicated individuals who are willing to work as part of a dynamic team that provides crucial support to Valard's projects.

    Requirements

    Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the Project Team, liaising between project operations and the corporate office.
  • Creation and entry of purchase orders, entry of packing slips/tickets, expense report submissions and reconciliation/closeout support of purchase orders into Valard Systems.
  • Primary contact for customer calls / email enquiries.
  • Document control of Opening and Closing individual Projects.
  • General data entry as required and incorporation of field data into reports
  • Participation in Valard Safety programs.
  • Developing contacts throughout the company and having the ability to track down pertinent and essential information through these contacts.
  • Hard copy document management (ex. updating Foremen Binders as new drawings/documents become available).
  • Learning and using Valard systems to complete day-to-day tasks.
  • Documenting and distributing meeting minutes for various meetings.
  • Knowledge/Skills

  • Preferred 2 years' experience in a related field of work in an administrative role.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working on a construction site office would be an asset.
  • Experience working with a utility company is a strong asset.
  • Previous experience utilizing JD Edwards would be considered an asset
  • Exemplary knowledge and experience with Microsoft office programs, primarily Excel.
  • Experience with Toronto Hydro is an asset.
