Description:

The
Training Officer is responsible for the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of NPFD training programs for volunteer and recruit firefighters.

This position researches, develops, and delivers specialized technical knowledge through instruction, while evaluating individual needs for improvement.

Role responsibilities are performed in accordance with provincial legislation and regulations and the Municipality of North Perth's policies and programs.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma;
NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor II certification or proof of grandfathering
NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I certification or proof of grandfathering
NFPA 1033 Fire Investigator certification;
NFPA 1002 Pumper Operations certification or proof of grandfathering;
NFPA 1521 Safety Officer certification
NFPA 1006 Rescue Technician preferred;
Current First Aid, CPR and AED;
NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Professional Qualifications preferred

The salary range for this position is $ $52.36 per hour based upon a 35 hour work week. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and includes a comprehensive benefit and pension plan.
