RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION HANDYPERSON

$30-35/hour

Job Summary:We are currently seeking an experienced handyperson to work in the Kemptville area with experience in all aspects of construction and interior/exterior renovations, both commercial and residential.


Responsibilities:


  • Carpentry and framing.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Fine finishing (trim, lighting installation, etc.).
  • Installation of doors/frames/hardware.
  • Framing (steel and wood).
  • Drywall/mudding.
  • General construction.
  • Erect/deconstruct scaffolding.
  • Demolition.
  • Assist trades, suppliers or coworkers where and when required.

Qualifications:


  • Meticulous attention to detail and precisetoplan quality.
  • Hard working.
  • Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements in metric and imperial.
  • Experience working with hand tools.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Able to work in a safe manner while following company safety policies and regulations.

Requirements:


  • 35 years' experience in residential home construction in Canada.
  • Training in WHMIS, Fall Protect, Workers Health & Safety Awareness will be considered an asset but LA Group will provide training if needed.
  • Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
