Description

This position is responsible for care of children up to 5 years old in the Playroom while providing a safe and nurturing environment.

The Playroom Staff will create a safe, caring, and engaging environment conducive to building trust with all members.

Looking to hire part time evenings and / or weekends.

Responsibilities

Greet/interact professionally with members and children.
Provide care to infants and toddlers including snack offerings and diaper changes.
Engage children of all ages with a variety of group activities including craft making, swimming, and camp games.
Prepare and serve snacks and/or meals.
Respond to parents' inquiries in a timely fashion.
Promote health and wellness through hand washing, cleaning of toys, etc.
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Clean and organize playroom and putting away any hazard equipment.
Support and assist other team members by conversing and contributing information on an ongoing basis.
Personal/professional conduct demonstrates RGC Core Values and Code of Conduct. Demonstrates ethical principles in all daily activities.

Qualifications:

Infant/Child First Aid Certificate or Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED is required
Current Vulnerable Sector Check required.
Early Childcare Level 1 is an asset
Customer service focus
Part time positions with evening availability 4pm 8:30pm and/or weekend day availability.

Job Type:
Permanent

Salary:
$15.50-$24.31 per hour
