About This Opportunity
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for securing new business opportunities to meet sales objectives and ensure maximum market participation.
In this exciting role, you will capture new business through developing strong customer relationships with leading North American enterprise level end users; utilizing professional sales techniques to promote and sell Melitron's contract manufacturing and engineering services.
This sales position provides the flexibility to work from home or at Melitron's head office in Guelph, ON, with travel to business partner locations or industry events as required.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, qualify and engage new business prospects.
- Secure new business opportunities to generate sales revenues in line with set targets.
- Manage RFQ's and ensure a timely response in developing and delivering effective
cross-functional teams.
- Leverage extensive industry relationships to position Melitron for winning business in
- Develop strong customer relationships to become a preferred business partner that
- Utilize the Company's CRM system (SAP) to record business partner data, opportunities,
- Coordinate and host customer visits and prepare and present company information at
- Represent and promote Melitron at industry networking events, conferences, and trade
- Work closely with the senior management team to deploy a sales strategy to achieve
- Participate in developing and deploying marketing tools to reach customer prospects in
- Provide monthly reporting on new business opportunities, sales revenues and forecasts
- Other responsibilities to assist the business as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of b2b progressive sales management experience. Mechanical (sheet
- Track record selling to large Enterprise Accounts.
- Selfstarter with an ability to effectively prioritize and organize multiple projects and
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills verbal, written, presentation and
- Ability to work with cross functional teams to drive customer solutions.
- Solid competence with the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with experience
