WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
1. Golf Course Maintenance and Upgrades
- Help in the coordination of the daytoday maintenance to ensure the entire Grounds Department operates efficiently while maintaining exceptional playing conditions.
- Assist in overseeing the property maintenance and aesthetic, conducive to a championship facility.
- Assist in the preparation and management of the operating budget and fiveyear capital plan.
- Assist in the coordination of golf course improvement projects.
2. Team Member Development
- Recruit, coach, train and supervise the Grounds Maintenance Team to optimum performance while ensuring their safety.
- Develop and engage the Team with the GolfBC Manifesto.
- Ensure the Team is scheduled effectively, and payroll is completed on time.
3. Guest Experience
- Maintain course conditions that exceed Guest expectations.
- Ensure the Team is knowledgeable and able to answer Guest questions.
WHAT YOU BRING
-
1+ years of experience in, and a basic understanding of the golf course industry.
- Relevant
education in Turfgrass Management or Horticulture is an asset but
not required
- Strong
problem solving, decision making, and
organizational skills. - Excellent interpersonal,
leadership and English communication skills. - Able to work in a
fastpaced environment on a set 5day work week schedule involving one weekend day. - Willingness to be
handson with the Team as well as complete necessary admin tasks.
