    Job Summary
    As a Registered Pharmacy Technician at Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with insurance challenges and available provincial/federal programs to make their medications more affordable. This position requires a pharmacy technician diploma from an accredited college, registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, and two or more years of related pharmacy experience.

    About the Role
    This full-time position is responsible for dispensing medications, fulfilling prescription orders, and maintaining inventory. You will also assist patients in exploring drug funding routes through public and private support and funding options, gather necessary information for completion and submission to available funding programs, and perform regular follow-ups on submitted applications. Additionally, you will work independently with minimal supervision, using your analytical and mathematical skills to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities
    * Assist pharmacy team in managing workload and performing daily tasks
    * Work independently on labelling and filling/refilling prescriptions, and verify patient receipt of correct prescriptions
    * Prepare and review billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents
    * Enter prescriptions into the computer, retrieve data, and correct errors
    * Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications, receive accurate inventory, and maintain records
    * Assist and educate patients in exploration of drug funding routes, and gather information for funding program submissions

    Requirements
    * Pharmacy Technician Diploma from an accredited college
    * Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
    * Two or more years of related pharmacy experience
    * Strong analytical and mathematical skills
    * Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    * Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
