  • Your responsibilities:
  • Liaise with and coordinate with the other engineering disciplines and procurement team.
  • Participate in all phases of project, including conceptual, FEED, detail design.
  • Provide construction and Commissioning support as required.
  • Perform job responsibilities under the direction of the Project Mechanical Lead and project engineer(s).
  • Work efficiently and maintain the required technical quality of work produced within the project schedule and budgeted manhours.
  • Prepare specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, review and approve vendor documents and drawings.
  • Ensure adherence to client and/or company specifications, work instructions, quality processes, governing codes and standards, and good engineering practice.
  • Responsible for reporting the progress status of the equipment being handled to the Project mechanical lead and project engineer(s).
  • Interface with Client's representatives and maintain a good relationship throughout the project
  • Be conversant and knowledgeable with the requirement of current legislation and standards e.g., API, CSA, API, NFPA, ASME Codes and industry Standards, Federal, and Provincial Regulations.
  • Must be methodical and systematic in her/his approach

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

  • Recognized Bachelor's, Master's and PHD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario and or Alberta
  • Minimum of 1015 years' experience in Oil & Gas and Mining Industries
  • Field experience will be considered an asset
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Report writing, Communication, and Presentation skills.

Skills Requirement:

  • Interface engineering/ Coordination for multidisciplinary issues belongs to Mechanical scope.
  • General understanding of civil, electrical, I&C and piping design requirement with respect to mechanical equipment interface
  • Willing to travel to site and vendor shop as per project needs and requirement
  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skill
  • Strong team player & ability to handle multitasks.
  • Ability to meet assignment schedule & deliver quality products.
  • Selfmotivated & goaloriented
  • Ability to work and perform tasks independently with minimum supervision and guidance.
