Position Information:

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking an experienced project management professional for an exciting opportunity to serve as Project Manager.


What you will do:


The Project Manager leads the planning and delivery of strategic projects/initiatives, coordinates the delivery of assigned projects, and ensures delivery within scope, budget, and requirements.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manages the planning and delivery of projects/initiatives that are of strategic importance to multiple departments, or the organization.
  • Manages several projects and initiatives, supporting a culture of innovation and datainformed decisionmaking at the hospital.
  • Engages with project teams, management team, senior leaders, physicians across TOH, and external stakeholders.
  • Acts as the resource person for various committees associated with the projects and is responsible for stakeholder engagement, workplan development, ensuring that milestones are met and that the projects are achieving their objectives.
  • Develops project strategies, frameworks, and recommendations based on a strong understanding of evaluation principles.

What you will bring:


  • 4year Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or in a healthrelated field;
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in project management;
  • Minimum two (2) years leadership experience;
  • Intermediate or Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proven customer service orientation and ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and to work effectively in a teambased environment;
  • Ability to meet deadlines with mínimal supervision and work in a team setting with colleagues at all levels;
  • Strong organizational skills while being detailoriented;
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical ability;
  • Ability to multitask and quickly adjust focus based on changing priorities.

You will stand out with:


  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent professional experience;
  • Experience in healthcare project management or healthcare related facility service planning.
