Role Summary


Reporting to the Director of Customer Success, the Medical Summary Writer is responsible for driving high quality medical records (indexing and summaries) to our customers.

You will facilitate customer meetings and be the trusted expert in understanding the customer requirements and translating them into standard operating procedures within our platform.

You will partner with our Customer Success and Product team to ensure a strong implementation plan for new customers while ensuring ongoing quality assurance of all medical records.


Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to our customers on how to best design their medical records using the Wisedocs platform
  • Support customers and internal teams to develop the medical documentation strategy and serve as a technical resource to provide proactive medical expertise
  • Stay up to date with state, federal and line of business specific medical documentation requirements
  • Facilitate meetings and collaborate with customers to gather customer data, requirements and decisions using our onboarding / implementation kit
  • Assess customers' requirements, develop scopes, create project plan and schedules to ensure the implementation is completed on time
  • Support and mentor members of our Medical Documentation team by completing quality assurance audits and providing feedback

  • Perform quality assurance audits to evaluate the strength and weakness of the medical evidence including preexisting or coexisting medical conditions
  • Comply with all related regulatory mandates, including a complete understanding of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and work closely with operational counterparts to drive support issues to resolution
  • Solicit client feedback and work with internal partners to drive support improvements and enhance the overall Customer Experience.
  • Maybe involved in presale meetings and product demos, and may assist in proposals
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years' experience in creating, reviewing, and summarizing medical records
  • A degree in a related field i.e., Nursing, Medical Science, Health Policy etc.
  • Familiar with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Understand and utilize medical terminology, anatomical drawings, laboratory tests, and medications;
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets with accurate results
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Customer relationship management experience
  • Experience leading Projects
