Overview:
Adastra corporation is hiring As Canada's leading Data and AI company, we are looking for a skilled Data Modeler with in-depth expertise with dimensional modeling and demonstrated experience with conceptual, logical and physical modeling.

Contract/Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze and translate business needs
- Work with team to implement data strategies, create conceptual data models, data flows and support in the data movement and transformation requirements
- Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
- Optimize and update logical and physical data models
- Develop enterprise data models according to company standards
- Develop dimensional model and data marts according to business requirements
- Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
- Create data dictionary and catalogue
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
- Present and communicate modeling results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- At least 5+ years of data modelling experience
- P&C insurance experience is mandatory
- In depth expertise with dimensional modeling; demonstrated experience with conceptual, logical and physical modeling
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
- Understands and maintains lineage mapping
- Experience with source to target mapping and using logic
- Must have experience with logical and physical data modeling
- Must have experience with enterprise data models and data warehouse models
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Cloud environments an asset (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Guidewire data model experience
