Overview:

Adastra corporation is hiring As Canada's leading Data and AI company, we are looking for a skilled Data Modeler with in-depth expertise with dimensional modeling and demonstrated experience with conceptual, logical and physical modeling.

Status:
Contract/Full-Time

Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze and translate business needs
Work with team to implement data strategies, create conceptual data models, data flows and support in the data movement and transformation requirements
Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
Optimize and update logical and physical data models
Develop enterprise data models according to company standards
Develop dimensional model and data marts according to business requirements
Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
Create data dictionary and catalogue
Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
Present and communicate modeling results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

At least 5+ years of data modelling experience
P&C insurance experience is mandatory
In depth expertise with dimensional modeling; demonstrated experience with conceptual, logical and physical modeling
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
Understands and maintains lineage mapping
Experience with source to target mapping and using logic
Must have experience with logical and physical data modeling
Must have experience with enterprise data models and data warehouse models

Nice to Have:

Experience with Cloud environments an asset (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Guidewire data model experience
