General Accountability:

As a key member of the maintenance team the Maintenance Technician will ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility. Additionally, they will warrant safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.

Critical Success Factors:

Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and upgrading of processing, packaging and material handling equipment in a food processing environment

Execute approved modifications and additions
Perform and document all maintenance activities
Read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings
Make recommendations and promote best practices
Support health and safety programs
Related maintenance experience in an industrial plant
Knowledge of plant and equipment operations
Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job
Good mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to work with mínimal supervision
Ability to work in a team based environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Additional experience or education and training an asset, i.e. welding, refrigeration, steam ticket
