Job Description:
Drywall Finisher

Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces by removing old drywall, plaster, or paint
Install and repair drywall panels
Smooth and level the surface using hand tools and sandpaper
Clean up work area and dispose of debris properly
Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weather proof surfaces
Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation

Requirements:

Proven experience as a drywall finisher or similar role
Proficient in using drywall tools and equipment
Strong knowledge of different types of drywall materials and finishes
Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
Attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship skills
Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions
Excellent problemsolving and time management skills

Salary:
