_(Temporary, Full-Time - 12 months)_

The District of West Vancouver has an opening for a temporary, full-time Facilities Project Coordinator

  • Reporting to the Facilities Asset Project Manager, this position will be responsible for:
  • Creating project documentation including: project charters, drawings and specifications, and project implementation plans for capital facility projects;
  • Coordinating architects, engineers, and other professionals in the development of major capital facility projects;
  • Developing project plans associated with renovations, facilities capital renewal plan, energy management, and greenhouse gas reduction projects;
  • Implementing projects utilizing inhouse and/or contractors;
  • Tracking project progress, reporting on project status, major issues/obstacles encountered and making recommendations regarding projects scope changes;
  • Developing and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives;
  • Keeping stakeholders aware of project status and ensures effective communication channels are in place;
  • Coordinating and/or monitors the commissioning, testing, training, and documentation of various systems related to the respective projects;
  • Postcommissioning of building systems on an ongoing basis to ensure optimum performance;
  • Coordinating the preparation of the project closeout documentation, including O&M Manuals, warranties and archiving the project records;
  • Monitoring contractor performance and insuring project conform to terms and conditions of agreements;
  • Coordinating and arranging furniture and equipment moves and installations;
  • Preparing budget reports and monthly project cost reports;
  • Preparing confidential correspondence, documents and reports;
  • Updating the long term facilities renewal database; and
  • Other related duties as required

Position Status:
EXEMPT - Temporary, Full-Time


Hours of Work:
35 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary)


Salary:

$79,600 - $89,600 per annum; 14% in lieu of benefits
