Job Title
Insurance Account Representative


Job Purpose


To work as an employee of a Desjardins Agent Network (DAN) independent contractor agent assisting the agent in selling and marketing DAN products and services and in providing quality service to DAN customers.


EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE_____________________

MUST HAVE following licenses (both preferred): OTL/RIBO; LLQP

  • Experience in retail sales, marketing or customer service desirable.
  • Experience with computer software required.
  • Knowledge of personal lines insurance products desirable.

SKILLS/ ABILITIES__________________________

  • Languages: fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Ability to create professional business relationships with prospects and policyholders.
  • Strong listening, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and act effectively in various circumstances without direction.
  • Selfconfidence/perseverance/strong work ethic: remain positive and maintain progress towards a goal in spite of obstacles and adversity.
  • Goal oriented: highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results.
  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior.
  • Ability to organize and act on several activities concurrently.

JOB RELATED TRAINING COURSES, LICENSING AND PROGRAMS______


Successfully complete all company & Provincial requirements (licenses) to sell and service designated DAN products and continue to be licensed in good standing is required.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES________________________

  • Work from the agent's office to contact prospects and current policyholders to generate interest in sales appointments

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brampton, ON L6T 4W8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • OTL/RIBO and/or LLQP license (preferred)
