Works Yard


The Town is looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about learning new things and motived to improve the status quo.

This dynamic position, reporting to the Public Works & Parks department and with functional reporting to Finance, is responsible for providing effective financial and administrative support to the Parks and Public Works Department.

The work is primarily at the Works Yard; however, it requires regular coordination and communication with other departments within the Town Hall.

The wide range of accounting, asset management and administrative duties are of moderate complexity and require a high degree of accuracy, independence of judgment and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.


Duties include preparing and processing purchase orders, reviewing invoices/packing slips, entering staff timesheets, maintaining inventory records, assisting with the budget preparations and account analysis and reconciliations related to various subsystems.

Additionally, this position provides initial technical assistance for Works Yard computers, software, and office equipment and general administrative support.
