Join our team as a Project Manager Air Quality and be the breath of fresh air our team needs As a highly skilled project and relationship manager, you will support technical, very specialized team members to ensure projects are managed on time, on budget, and with the highest degree of client service.

You will support the team by addressing changing client needs, impacts to scope, and focusing on positive client relationships. You will mentor more junior staff who are learning about solving challenging problems associated with managing projects.

You prioritize supporting others on the team, to see projects through to successful completion as an excellent project manager who relies on the technical expertise of others.


WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will be a part of growing and adapting the air assessment and monitoring service line and will be able to provide mentorship to intermediate and junior team members.

Reporting to the Group Manager, you will be a project manager who oversees client relationships, deliverables, and financials, for a diverse portfolio of projects.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Development of strong working relationships with clients and internal staff to support project performance.
  • Complete proposals for various scopes of work that are inclusive of the suggested work program, fees, and qualifications.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to manage air quality scope and deliverables on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Guide the team toward meeting project objectives by overseeing the activities, preparation of documentation, and communication efforts.
  • Plan and coordinate technical aspects of projects, with the support of others.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure quality and timeliness that meet client expectations.
  • Manage financial activities associated with projects including issuing invoices, tracking revenues, and understanding where the scope of work may need to be altered and the related cost implications.
  • Review technical reports that present air quality methodology, recommendations, mitigation requirements, and results.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols for self and staff, if applicable.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering disciplines.
  • Registration with Professional Engineers Ontario as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) considered an asset
  • 7+ years of relevant project management experience in environmental air engineering (preferably in consulting environment).
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, diffuse difficult situations, and mentor others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities.
  • Sound timemanagement and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
  • Willingness for occasional travel within Ontario.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
