Position Summary:

  • Aligned with Northern Health's (NH) strategic plan, and in accordance with the organizations vision and values, the Coordinator, Training and Process Improvement, Employee Services is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Internal Recruitment and Benefits training to employees across the organization as well as leading process improvement initiatives within the department. The Coordinator plays a key role in developing implementation plans for the initiatives above by gathering data, determining priorities, systems requirements, planning, setting deadlines and ensuring targets are met.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for development of new policies where applicable, and recommendations for process improvement and service delivery initiatives related to Internal Recruitment and Benefit Services. Researches complex problems and develops recommendations for resolution. Liaises with external carriers, other employers, regulatory bodies and government agencies as required to share information, clarify discrepancies, resolve problems and deal with employee concerns.
  • Starting salary will be approximately from $65,884 to $82,355 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or Human Resources or a relevant discipline plus three (3) to five (5) years of recent related health care experience in a large, complex unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong change management skills
  • Ability to work successfully within team environment and foster a positive work culture.
  • Excellent client relations skills including strong written and verbal communication skills and solution seeking approaches to problem solving
  • Ability to set and maintain priorities, meet deadlines; strong multitasking skills, and be results oriented.
