    Work setting Estimating Tasks:


    1. Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
    2. Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients
    3. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
    4. Prepare master format estimates (Class A)
    5. Prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D)
    6. Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
    7. Project cash flow and financing requirements
    8. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms
    9. Utilize quantity take-off procedures
    10. Advise on tendering procedures
    11. Analyze tenders and recommend awards
    12. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
    13. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
