About the role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our People & Culture team as a Benefits Analyst.

In this role, you will assist with the administration of our company's Canadian and US benefits programs and help ensure that our employees receive comprehensive and competitive benefits packages.

Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards & Systems the Benefits Analyst will also participate in enhancements of the wellness, perks and benefits offerings and ensure that we are compliant and cost effective.


What you'll be responsible for:


  • Assist with the management and administration of the company's benefits programs (Canada & USA), including health insurance, global wellness programs and other employee benefits.
  • Maintain plan documents and FAQs to ensure they are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS/vendor platform including supporting documentation.
  • Assist and respond to employee inquiries on benefits program details, status changes, claim issues, enrolment questions, etc.
  • Provide support for open enrollment and other benefits enrollment periods, including coordinating communication materials and assisting with employee inquiries.
  • Assist in conducting benefits analysis and make recommendations to improve the overall effectiveness and competitiveness of the company's benefits offerings.
  • Review utilization reports and identify ways to increase employee awareness and participation rates.
  • Monitor benefits trends and best practices to ensure the company's benefits programs remain competitive and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate employee benefits records, including enrollment, terminations, and changes.
  • Support the development and delivery of employee education and communication programs related to benefits.
  • Update benefits onboarding documents as required.
  • Deliver benefits presentation to new hires.
  • Ensure benefit's SOPs are up to date.
  • Participate in identifying any gaps or process improvements to create efficiencies and enhance the employee experience.
  • Coordinate and enroll eligible employees in the Inpatriates benefits plan as required.
  • Assist with other People & Culture projects and duties as assigned

What we're looking for:


  • Postsecondary education in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business, IT, or a blend of postsecondary education and relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws (Canada and USA)
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS or other HR systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Experience with Espresa is an asset
